When I think about what has happened in the CLE world over the past 8 years, the evolution of technology isn’t the only thing that astounds me. The growth in the number of jurisdictions and types of credit we offer now is pretty amazing.
In 2001, we offered only CLE credit in a very limited number of jurisdictions. The majority of the programs we offered we only accredited in a few states. This wasn’t limited by just the number of states allowing for online credit. We started small, focusing our efforts on states with more liberal online CLE rules and with large attorney populations.
Now, we accredit in all U.S. jurisdictions, including Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. We accredit programs for paralegal credit in a variety of states, and we also offer CPD credit in the UK and Wales.
We have expanded our accreditation services to other types of credit beyond the legal education world. We are a provider of CPE credit for accountants in all US states. We offer National Contract Management Association credit, PMI credit for program managers, and AIA/CES credit for architects.
So what does this growth in jurisdictions and credit types mean for CLE providers? The growth in the volume of accreditation has expanded too!
