I have never had an application denied for providing too much information. When in doubt, provide the documentation. In some cases, states will return an application for additional information. This may be speaker bio information, or a timed agenda with specific breakdowns on what is to be discussed when.
We have created a checklist, by state, which details what is required on each application. This may be information that is not listed on the face of the application but which we have learned, through trial and error, to provide. We also track supplemental documentation both required and preferred by each state. The checklist details fees to be included with applications as well.
With this checklist, we have greatly reduced the number of times that states must request additional information. By providing the details the first time, our approvals are returned in a very timely manner with few questions or issues.
