I’m very excited to share with my readers a new scholarship program that my company, West LegalEdcenter, has started. It is intended to help more attorneys earn continuing legal education credits during this prolonged economic recession. It’s been a pet project for me for the past few months and I’m very proud to be a part of helping those in my industry who are in need of CLE tuition assistance.
The full and partial scholarships are targeted to unemployed attorneys, legal aid and government attorneys, judges or judicial clerks, law professors or students, and employees of nonprofit or legal services organizations. Attorneys in private practice who seek to learn skills that will assist them in pro bono activities are also encouraged to apply. Included in the scholarship program will be access to my company’s live event, live webcast, on-demand and podcast programming.
West LegalEdcenter has reserved a limited number of full scholarships for each of the live programs it holds. Partial scholarships of up to 50 percent of the applicable course fee also are available for all programs. Individual attorneys may be granted one full-tuition scholarship per calendar year, and one partial scholarship per month. Attorneys are encouraged to apply early for scholarships for programs of their choice. For more information or to apply, visit the West LegalEdcenter scholarship page.
Best of luck to all of those in our profession who are looking for work. I hope this program helps you!
