To the joy of all, spring has finally shown its face here in Minnesota. Spring signals that it is time to clean out the cabinets, get out the lighter wardrobe, uncover the flower bulbs, and begin my annual audit with all of the state regulators! I enjoy these conversations almost as much as I love when my peonies begin to pop their heads out of the earth. Catching up, not only on the rules and policies and procedures but with the staff, is one of the highlights of Spring for me.
This year my audit will include questions about issuing partial credit, what types of assistance the regulators give attorneys seeking credit (searchable databases, links, etc.), and each state's stance on non-substantive programming (such as law practice management).
Do you have a question about which you'd like every state's take? Send me an email or comment here and I'll add it to my list. Watch the blog for the results!
